I strongly believe that superior, long-term returns are unlocked by world-class execution, not just financial engineering. My perspective is shaped by my experience as a successful tech entrepreneur leading unicorns in more than 14 countries and 130 cities and raising several hundred million for these companies, as well as being a founder and a scale-up operator, giving me a unique lens to analyze companies beyond their financial statements and identify the tangible, operational levers that truly create value. My areas of specialization are tech, e-commerce, logistics, fintech, and the broader consumer sector. I look for businesses with strong underlying assets but suffering from a lack of strategic direction—what I call “sleeping giants.” My thesis-driven articles will deep-dive into how technology can act as a catalyst for significant margin expansion, market share growth, and the creation of new, durable competitive moats. In addition to my operational roles, I have been an active investor for 20 years. I serve on the investment committee for Nazca, a leading VC fund in Mexico, and NewHealth Ventures, the first health-tech-focused VC in Latin America. As an angel investor, I have backed over 30 startups, including being an early investor in five unicorns. These experiences provide me with a 360-degree view of the investment landscape, from early-stage disruption to large-scale public market dynamics. The World Economic Forum has honored me by naming me a Young Global Leader and an Endeavor “Outlier” entrepreneur.
