GreenOps Dashboard. Users can now gain visibility into their AWS cloud usage carbon emissions and power consumption directly from the Cost & Usage page. Savings Plan Simulator. The new Savings Plan Simulator replaces the SP Analyzer. Simulation data is based on all AWS compute services: EC2, Lambda and Fargate. The simulator provides an evaluation of all six purchasing options per coverage selection, visualizations to explore simulation results for cost and coverage, and an option to exclude Savings Plans expiring soon for a more precise forecast. Escalating Cloud Spend Drives Booming FinOps Market The growth in cloud spending continues to escalate – Gartner Research expects end-user cloud spending to increase 21.5% globally to $723 billion in 2025, forcing organizations to face a critical imperative to manage and optimize their cloud expenditures. So dire is the need that Gartner1 predicts that a lack of sound cloud financial management (CFM) practices will be the primary reason for over 90% of enterprises that halt or slow cloud migrations by 2027. For enterprises today, the challenge is no longer just about migrating to the cloud – it’s about optimizing everything in it. This challenge has led to a boom in FinOps and CFM solutions.
